They created both floor and wall sculptures. They were responsible for the introduction sunburst design/movement of the 1960's. Exhibited in the Corcoran Gallery of Art (was an art museum in Washington, D.C., United States, that is now the location of the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design, a part of the George Washington University) in the Comins' one man show "Frescoes by Eben F. Comins, March 31–April 22, 1931" exhibition. Stretcher is bordered in metal, possibly to create the recess in which plaster was applied to the board, to form the base to which the pigments were applied to.
