70 - 19TH C FRENCH NAPOLEON III OXBOW EBONY TANTALUS

A fine 19th century, French, Napoleon III cave a liqueur / tantalus / liqueur / decanter set in an ebonized wood oxbow cabinet. Floral bouquet painted to a raised top surrounded in dore bronze trim, the front corners continuing down to a gilt bronze pillar with scrollwork and flowers, the center two mounts of caryatid-style cherubs, raised on 4 gilt bronze pedestal feet with matching trim, lock-plate, and accents. The set consists of 4 decanters and 16 glasses in a removable brass mounted wood insert. The exterior case measures 16" W x 11" H x 11" D overall. Weighs 13lbs. Stoppers possibly later as they do not all sit properly into the decanters, one of the stoppers appears taller than the rest and must be removed to close the case.
