7 - OVERSIZED JUDAICA MARRIAGE STERLING SILVER RING

Bride's ceremonial house ring used in traditional Jewish marriage. This extremely oversized piece depicts a 3 story temple with turrets that represents the strong union and household of marriage. A latch on the side allows the ring to open that reveals a bima on which the open Torah Scroll is displayed with gold rings, that can be removed from the ring to reveal another compartment beneath (inside of which people have kept marriage vows, the second ring, holy scripture, prayers, even besamim as a spice box). Hebrew inscriptions to front and back read "Kol Sason Simcha" and "Kol Chatan V'Kala" with "Mazal Tov" around the band. Ring size 14-15. Ring measures 4-1/8" H x 1-1/2" W (+3/8" latch) x 1" D. Weighs 144g.
