37 - JESÚS FUERTES (SPANISH,1938-2006) "PESCADORA" OIL

Oil on ceramic painting "Pescdora" by Jesus Fuertes (Spanish, 1938-2006). As the title suggests, depicting a fisherwoman in the cubist style of Jesus Fuertes, Picasso's last student.He used to call it "La Diosa del Mar" (The Goddess of the Sea"). On the back of the frame he wrote "Pescadora, 1990, La pintura original mide 150 cm x 120 y fue adquirida por el Museo de Arte de la Villa de Paris" ("Fisherwoman, 1990, The original painting measures 150 cm x 120 and was acquired by the Museum of Art of the Villa de Paris"). He painted this one for, dedicated and signed "Para el Restaurante 'La Dorada'con sincero afecto, Jesus 1997 Miami". Measures 15.2" H x 10.8" W. With the Frame the measurements are 20 inches wide X 24.5 inches tall.
