34 - EMILE DEKEL "THE CONGREGATION" JUDAICA LUCITE ART

3-D acrylic artwork depicting an abstract representation of a congregation with books open, beneath tablets and Star of David. Hand signed "Emile DEKEL, '90, Copyright" to lower right and titled "The Congregation, 8/350" to lower left, both in pencil. Hand written tital & description to lower left on the back, reminding that although it is a limited edition of 350, that each one is still an original in itself. "Emile Dekel was born and raised in Lyon , France , and traveled to Israel to continue his studies. He became a member of a Kibbutz and was involved n the performing arts for several years. He then returned to France to study at the Ecole National Superieure Des Arts Decoratifs in Paris . He then moved on to Syracuse University for graduate study in Industrial Arts. Mr. Dekel was commissioned by the government of Israel to do a research study on World Design Society of America magazine in 1972. He then enrolled in special courses at New York Institute of Fine Arts, where he developed his own technique for intaglio carvings." -Credit to: Link Art Studios inc.
