17 - ROYAL COPENHAGEN LARGE PORCELAIN BIRDS BOWL

Beautifully hand painted early 20th century Denmark porcelain large round covered soup tureen or punch bowl. Pattern depicting colorful birds and trees, vaguely reminiscent of Herend's Rothschild, having intricate gold designs, scalloped rims, floral festoons, and trims- topped with a lemon finial handle. Swirled porcelain design throughout and basket weave pattern to rim of bowl and cover. Rare piece, could not find any similar. Bowl itself measures 12 1/2" in diameter x 5 3/4" H, lid measures 13" in diameter x 6" H. Total weight 10lbs., 6oz. Some tape residue to rim.
