Black lacquer with hand painted gold trim and scenic backrests of two designs; an Asian maiden holding a parasol and an Asian man with a bird. Cream colored upholstery with bees. Each measures approximately 43" H x 24" W x 24" D, the armrests (on 2 chairs) measure 27" H. Purchased from and with receipt of "Jim Weinberg Interior" for $6548.80 in 1981. Manufactured by "Karges Furniture Company". This set was originally paired with the Bernhard Rohne Mastercraft dining table, also being featured in this sale (lot 100). One chair (without arms) has dents to the backrest and one chair (with arms) has areas of paint loss to the design on the backrest- both seen in the photos.
